Presently, landslides have been analyzed at two places (L1 and L2) under Didihat tehsil of Pithoragarh District. Landslide at location-1 in the area started in the year 2013, after this the area of landslide expanded continuously every year, and landslide at location-2 occurred on 19 August 2020. Both these landslides have become very vulnerable and buildings present above their crowns part are in danger condition. An artificial lake is also being created from the collected debris materials in the Charma Gad of the landslide at location-1. The present study describes the landslide incidents and causes at two places located in the area, and their mitigation measures have also been suggested for the affected places. Rahul Negi R. A. Different types of membranes are used in dairy industry. In the cheese industry, membranes increase the yield and quality of cheese and control the whey volume, by concentrating the cheese milk. With the advancement of newer technology in membrane processes, it is possible to recover growth factor from whey. With the introduction of superior quality membranes as well as newer technology, the major limitation of membranes, fouling or blockage has been overcome to a greater extent. Afren Ansari Mohd. They are considered as friends of farmers, several species of earthworm like Pheretima, Eutyphoeus, Dravida, Megascolax Tonoscolox etc. are found in Indian subcontinent. Usually earthworms are found in soil but some forms like Perionyx is found in water, Dichogaster on top of palm tree, Pheretima musica is found in humas under the epiphytic ferns growing on trees, whereas Dendrobaena is found in burrows in green ice of glaciers. Before independence and several years after independence description of Lumbricus, which is a European and American form of Earthworm was given and described in our books. In 1926, Prof. Karm Narayan Bahal who was professor in Dept. of Zoology, of University of Lucknow, for first time wrote a Memoir on Indian earthworm Pheretima base on his own studies on it between 1919-1926. Like all organisms earthworm is especially adapted to its ecological conditions. Their life style, structure, and biochemistry given them a special position in animal kingdom. Earthworms are member of phylum Annelida and are placed between class Polychaeta and Hirrudinida as it show some resemblance with both. Night vision is made possible by a combination of two approaches: sufficient spectral range and sufficient intensity range. Image intensification increases the amount of photons received from various natural sources such as starlight or moonlight so that a dimly lit scene can be viewed in real time. Active infrared night-vision systems include illuminators that produce high levels of infrared light, with the resulting images typically having higher resolution than other night-vision techniques. Thermal vision detects the temperature difference between background and foreground objects. Night vision device allows to see in no light or in low light at night time. Recently, night vision technology has become more widely available for civilian use. Night vision devices exist in many forms, from gunners to drivers and pilots. Urbanization and human residence : a challenge https://www.myresearchjournals.com/index.php/anushandhan/article/view/8735 One of the more fashionable terms to have emerged over the past few years is “sustainability". The term has been applied in all sorts of contexts that initially concentrated on the environmental and ecological issues, but now it includes the social, economic and even that of overall development. It also applies to the human settlements, be it cities, towns or villages etc. The world's urbanization rate is unprecedented with the migration of millions of people to cities and urban centers bringing enormous pressure in various directions of human society. It is today's need to bring innovation and opportunities that hold the transformative power of positive change and inclusion. The challenge of urbanization is further exacerbated by previously rural human settlements that are rapidly transforming into urban centres and small towns subsequently growing into cities. Regional Environmental Management and Planning Leading to Sustainable Development https://www.myresearchjournals.com/index.php/anushandhan/article/view/8736 Environmental Management plays a significant role for not just India but for the whole world to resolve environmental problems. We have to plan the use of our natural resources in a very judicious manner. True development oriented planning helps to always bring about a balance between economic growth and development on one side and environmental conservation and preservation of natural resources on the other. It is only then sustainable development can be brought about in a country and the world as a whole India cannot become a developed country, if it chooses to ignore the need for environmental planning and management. This would avoid overuse and misuse of the natural resources of the country. It also minimizes the impact of human activities on ecology. This paper discusses the environmental problems faced by the rural and urban areas and also as to how they can be tackled with proper Environmental planning and management of these regions. This paper is divided into five sections besides introduction. Section II informs about the environmental problems faced by the rural areas. Section III deals with the environmental impact on the urban areas. Section IV highlights the government and other organizational efforts being made to tackle the environmental hazards faced by the rural poor and also the policy suggestions. Section V brings forth the planning and management efforts made by the government and others nongovernmental agencies to eradicate the environmental adverse Implications on the urban poor.
